 oin the Mesa Temple Visitors’ Center as we commemorate the 100-year anni
 versary of one of Mesa’s legends\, the Mezona. BYU Professor Fred E. Woo
 ds will present stories and photos highlighting this important piece of lo
 cal history. First built by farmer John T. Vance in 1908\, the Church of J
 esus Christ of Latter-day Saints purchased the building and renamed it the
  Mezona in 1926. According to the Mesa Tribune\, during the 1940’s and 
 1950’s\, the Mezona dance floors were where a good percentage of East Va
 lley couples met\, got engaged\, or announced their engagements.\n\nThis e
 ntertaining and informative event will be held at the Visitors’ Center 
 on Monday\, March 23\, at 7:00 PM and is free to the public.\n\n
