 s is debated\, but it is believed to have originated as a mix of Mesoameri
 can traditions honoring the dead and European Christian festivities like A
 llhallowtide or All Saints Day. Death in Mexico is viewed as a sweet event
 \, not the end. Death is just a step\, a happy transition. Day of the Dead
